THE STORY CONTINUES: Anfield Road Heads to Liverpool
The summer is over but the book tour isn’t slowing down! Next up, Chris Shepherd will be at Forbidden Planet in Liverpool, marking the exciting refit of the Bold Street store with a book signing event on 9th August at 3:30PM. It’s a brilliant opportunity to meet Chris in person and get your copy of Anfield Road signed. Chris will also be there with local legend horror writer Ramsay Campbell. So come down for an amazing double bill! The full running order for the day is free goodie bags from 9:30am, Ramsay Campbell signs 2pm and Chris is 3:30. As a fun bit of local history, the shop was once home to Nipper the dog, the canine star of the iconic HMV logo, listening intently to “his master’s voice.” It’s the perfect setting for a celebration of creative storytelling!

THE CAPTION COMICS FESTIVAL
The Caption Comics Festival is a small, cozy event in Oxford celebrating British small press and independent comics. The 2025 edition, called Caption Rebirth, will take place on August 16-17 at Seacourt Hall, Botley. THE LAKES INTERNATIONAL COMIC ART FESTIVAL
