I’m very excited to share that Bar Shorts is hosting a special event on Saturday 18th April at 2PM, and we’ll be taking over the brilliant Garden Cinema for the afternoon.

We’re calling it From Page to Frame — a celebration of filmmakers who also make graphic novels. I’ll be joined by the fantastic Astrid Goldsmith, Lucy Sullivan, Greg McLeod and me Chris Shepherd, and together we’ll be showing our films, chatting about our books, and generally having a very good time talking about the strange and joyful business of making things.

And yes, there’ll be a shop afterwards, because of course there will — books, prints, treats, all the good stuff.

It’s going to be warm, lively, and a proper Saturday afternoon hang.To book tickets check out the link: https://www.thegardencinema.co.uk/film/bar-shorts-presents-from-frame-to-page-animators-who-became-graphic-novelists/

There are also still tickets available for the Michael Dudok De Wit’s Bar Shorts event on 30th March. Don’t miss the chance to hear this legendary Oscar winner talk about his work — it’s going to be a rare and very special evening. Book tickets here.
