As we approach the Anfield Road publication date edges into view we can announce a series of events to celebrate the arrival of Chris Shepherd’s debut graphic novel. Our first date is the 6th November at Central Saint Martin’s Platform Theatre Bar. The event is 6:30 for 7pm. Chris will be in conversation with the wonderful fellow Scouser Helen Serafinowicz. Helen is an incredible writer whose writing credits include BBC’s Motherland and CBBC series Nova Jones.
Helen will be talking to Chris about his book, Liverpool and the 1980’s. It will be a really special evening and copies of Anfield Road plus limited edition prints will be on sale and Chris will be at hand to sign copies.
Entrance is free and you can enter the Platform Bar via the rear entrance of the Central Saint Martins building on Handyside Street, London, N1C 4UZ. Nearest rail stations London Kings Cross and London Saint Pancras. Ticket details will be announced.
There will be other London dates announced soon but remember that if you are in Liverpool you can catch Chris signing his book on the 2nd November at Forbidden Planet at Bold Street between 12:30 and 2. There’s a second gig in Liverpool on the 7th November at Waterstones Liverpool where Chris will be in conversation with Liverpool music legend Bernie Conor. This starts at 6:30 and you will need to buy tickets here. Or if you are in Cardiff you can meet up with Chris at the Cardiff Comic Con on the 19th October. More news and dates coming soon.
